Presentation: Report on Impact of Financialization on Right to Housing

You are cordially invited to the "Return of the Rapporteur" on Friday, October 26, 2012 , 1-3 pm, at the City University of New York. The UN Special Rapporteur on the Right to Adequate Housing, Raquel Rolnik will return to New York City, the starting point of her official US Mission in October 2009. Not by accident during the month of the World Zero Evictions Days - for the Right to Housing.

The Rapporteur visited several US cities, including Chicago, New Orleans, Los Angeles, Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota and Washington DC.

The National Economic and Social Rights Initiative (NESRI) and the Center for Place Culture and Politics at the CUNY Graduate Center are co-sponsoring this human rights dialogue. Ms Rolnik will report back on her missions completed since the US mission and the effects of housing finance on the right to adequate housing. After her public report, Ms. Rolnik will give a report to the UN General Assembly on Monday October 29th. We look forward to your participation.
